Could We See Big Block Gas V-8 & V-10 In New Trucks Again

The question is why? Why does anybody want a BB now days? :h

Pulling a big heavy trailer?? You can keep your gasser and poor mileage.

The Class 6 and 7 Medium Duty trucks are perfect for large gasoline engines, especially since diesel engines have been so emasculated. Ford has always offered their 6.8L V10 3 valve in their school buss and motorhome chassis.

Rumor has it that the big 3 will move back to the USA. We'll see, they are making so much money using cheap labor. Us consumers aren't saving a nickel. What a joke.........

No need for big blocks to get displacement. The 3.5 breathes @ 6.0 liters of fuel and air under twin turbos.

Have you ever bough gas for a 500 ci or larger gas engine pulling a heavy load.
EPA was trying to design, or regulate diesels out of existence.
They would have liked to see one or two gas engines, on the road, no matter the cost, or lack or acceptabiltiy, reliabiltiy and so on.
Still Sonnies makes a gas eninge, all aluminum in the next generation chevy hemi design, or mopar or ford hemi of over 900 ci and a 1000 ci is in the works.
Or a WWII Ford all aluminum V12, 4 cam hemi, for a tank.
You could pull right along side the 550 t0 800 ci diesels.
You might get 1 mile to the gallon.

I'd be happy if the EPA regs were a little more relaxed, but I am opposed to taking them away completely. What makes anyone think that Trump will get rid of the EPA or seriously alter it? Is this just more "guessing", or are there facts behind this theory?

we can only hope,,,I guess I'm old school but when it comes to HP and Torque there is no replacement for displacement.
