I certainly hope so! Be a great option instead of the problematic diesels!
I agree, also the extra $8000 for a diesel and high maintenance cost I would rather have Fords V-10 in a truck.
The V-10 in my work truck averages 5.5 mpg! Granted it's in a heavy utility truck.
Great motor, but waaay to thirsty.
In an RV application they average 8 depending on how you drive! My 02 by itself on the hwy gets 14.2. It used to get 15 when it had 3.73's. They are not as bad as people make them out to be. Unless you drive it like a hotrod! Or it's a fully loaded work truck!
And I'll bet that V-10 has been in the shop far less than its diesel brother! - colliehaulerExplorer IIII don't see any big block making a comeback. If you want one you will have to resurrect a old vehicle that has one.

What makes anyone think that Trump will get rid of the EPA or seriously alter it?
Wishful thinking. Some hope is better than no hope. ;)
Well. If I'm not mistaken. the guy he appointed to run it. wants to shut it down. Pretty sure that is what I read
You read correctly:).
Trump stated during his campaign he basically wants to gut the EPA and his nominee for that department, Scott Pruitt, is a good friend to the fossil fuel industry. - westendExplorer

Nope I am looking for a plug-in hybrid MH or truck.
That's in the pipeline. Ford just announced they are canning their plans for a new plant in Mexico and upgrading Flat Rock, MI instead. Along with the Flat Rock EV production, a new hybrid F-150 will be built by 2020 in Dearborn. Superduty's won't be far behind.
When I started turning wrench in the 60's, I always thought I'd be telling my Grandkids about the old days of the internal combustion engine. I probably will but they already go with Mom and Dad to the pump so it will just be another Grandad foolishness. Drat! - CampingN_C_Explorer

- NaioExplorer IIWhen I used to visit relatives in west LA in the late 70s and early 80s, I took 3 showers a day to wash off the layer of sticky, oily stuff that accumulated on my skin. Now that's completely unnecessary, and the air in LA feels just like in my small hometown.
I think the EPA has been pretty useful. - IAMICHABODExplorer III

Hang on. Workhorse is making a comeback with monster V8 that is reported to make 40 foot plus gas rigs doable. Might be available this year!
Got a link for that info
How bout this - My little 3.5 liter V6 walks all over the 5.4 liter V8 I had in my 97 F150 and that 97 walked all over the 390 CI V8 in my Dad's 71 F250...
The 6.2 L V8's of today are no slouches either... But, the new diesels are getting close to 1000 lb/ft pf torque now so there you go...
Too much money for any of them now, so maybe spending a couple grand on an old BB and getting lousy mpg's isn't too bad after all??
