I did not read all the previous posts. My bet, KOA has a bean counter for an administrative manager. (no hate intended) Most likely they are using unmetered pedestals in the smaller sites that have both 20 and 30 amp outlets at each pedestal for daily use. In theory, you could use your 50/30 amp dog bone adapter and also plug in to the 20 amp outlet using a 120 V. 20 amp extension cord run independently into your RV. In bean counter think you would be using over your daily allotment of electricity. Many older parks are "right on the edge" transformer wise and experience excessive voltage drop when the big rigs pull in and suck up all the power. In early RV days, having 2-50 amp circuits in an RV made as much sense as having more than 8 megs of RAM in your computer. Now many can't survive without it.
