Your entire rv (both legs) will have 120 volt service, but the TOTAL draw of both legs combined will be limited to 30 amps. You will be able to run all your ac units regardless of what leg they are on. You likely won't be able to run more than one at a time. That is what the EMS manages.westernrvparkowner wrote:I need help with this one. I thought 50a rigs had one a/c on one leg, and the 2nd air on the other leg. Using a dogbone, there's only one leg. No?
For example a 50 amp rig almost always has multiple air conditioners. They are zoned, and the EMS will rotate thru them so that when one zone gets to temperature that unit cycles off and the next zone's unit cycles on and the amperage draw remains constant. 30 amp rigs almost exclusively have one unit and the rigs have less area to cool.
