This is for those in this thread asking why their 50A rig with only one A/C running uses any more than a 30A one. The answer is: It may not, but the park owner cannot tell that by looking at the outside so uses the law of averages.
Some examples for my rig: A/Cs are also heat pumps. 2 ceramic heaters. MW. Heat and HW are diesel but it also has 1500W electric heat coil. Refer, TV and satellite receiver. Plus a larger charger and a lot of lights. I can monitor the rigs AC voltage and amp usage which allows me to draw as close to 30A on a 30A pedestal as desired. Note: I do conserve power (one reason for my solar) but just pointing the potential.
The marketing teams wanted rigs that use more power resulting in owners that will use every amp available while on a 30A pedestal.
