That would fix a completely different issue. I'd guess that dogbone manufacturers do not randomize which 50 A leg they're connecting to, so lots of 30 A plugged into 50's could result in a huge imbalance.

Actually, the feeder lines are randomly connected to the left and right blades of the 50 amp receptacle. Feeder lines in the loops are twisted bungles and the two hot lines are identical. Only the neutral has identifying characteristics. This naturally results in randomized connections between the left and right blades.

The only reason to not assign 30 amp rigs to 50 amp sites would be to keep the 50s available for rigs that require 50 amps.
