What "truth"? :@ I can't say for built in, factory installed EMS because I've never owned one but units such as those offered by Progressive or TRC offer no way to adjust any current limit ... so what are you talking about? :h
A common load shedding EMS detects 50A and gen and doesn't shed. For 20A and 30A it defaults to 30A. The owner and then manually select 20A and it will shed accordingly. ie Electrically there is no way to detect 20A vs 30A.
A settable high amp charger is common to limit the AC draw since a 100A charger can draw 11A AC.
