Crash in Australia (tongue weight). Video.

Here's a pretty crazy crash in Australia. Gotta have some weight up front for the tongue, right?

  • I'm going to have to go with Driver error, and speed.

Was doing pretty good before the bow wave of the vehicle he was passing, got him.
  • In addition to the poor setup, there was no driving skills and a pile of junk on the rear bumper.

    Paging Charles Darwin!
  • Many smaller vehicles do not have the frame or body structure to use weight distribution hitches.

They have their trailers set up so the tongue weight is low. That way they can tow them with the smaller vehicles. You see more trailer crashes from overseas than you do from NA. I don't even believe hey are allowed to use WD hitches?

Well the dude was passing the vehicle that shot the video, on a two lane highway, towards the end you see the oncoming traffic.

  • And the guy loads a bunch of stuff on the TT’s rear bumper. Not a surprising outcome.
