Crossroads RV Forums

The forums sponsored by "Crossroads RVs" have been "down for maintenance" for a few days now.

I could be 100 percent wrong, but the last time I saw a company sponsored forum that was "down for maintence" longer than overnight, it turned out to be "down for good".

Lately, a majority of the posts have been on the declining quality, comments on the warranty changing and in a lot of cases, poor service.

People were reporting about front caps cracking, slide issues, wall separations, axle problems, all indications that a company that was built on its reputation for extreme quality and customer service is going through a transition period, mostly for the worst.

Even our 2010 Crossroads Cruiser has issues that should never have made it out of the factory.

My opinion is that it became/was becoming bad for business that too many people were seeing too many problems occurring on people's RVs.

We shall see if I am wrong. I hope I am.

Also having a 2010, may I ask what issues?
  • We purchased a 2012 Crossroads Sunset Trail 30RK. I have nothing but good things to say about the dealer and the trailer. We have now used it through 2 seasons and no major problems. After reading these forums it seems that all brands have their lemons/problems.
  • I bought a new Zinger 5'er in June. It was a 2014 and I ought it from a dealer out of state. I was a little worried about the unit hen I ordered it but it was he floor plan my family loved and in a price range I could afford. We have camped several times and have not had a single issue with the unit! The dealer I bought it from was also great. When we did the PDI I only found 1 little thing wrong. They were very thorough with their prep. So far iam very pleased with our fifth wheel!

  • I made the mistake of buying a brand new 2014 Crossroads 251TD this year. I bought it in February, took delivery in April, Used it once in June, and it spent 2 months getting fixed in July and August.

I have never been more dissatisfied with a large purchase. This thing is one rolling piece of ****. The build quality and attention to detail is worse than the cheapest junk made in China.

If you are contemplating buying a Crossroads RV, especially from (probably wont let me put the dealer name here)

    STAY AWAY!!!!

i read on another forum that a lot of the latest negative posts, were due to Thor/Crossroads announcing they were reducing the factory warranty from 2 years to 1 year.

I do not know how you can sell a change in a warranty from 2 years to 1 year as a Positive.

Sounds like higher warranty claims and lower quality are causing a cost cutting move on Thor / Crossroads part.

I agree, especially with the change in warranty. Some people were relentless, and slamming individuals from the company who were good enough to take time to post on the forum, like Marcus does on this forum.
I hope they dont give up, it is a good owners family forum.

Slamming? I think most of us would expect a person who claims to be the leader of a company present the side-by-side comparison, as promised, quicker then what occurred if they truly believe the new warranty is so great.

  • After all the slamming they have taken on there lately I wouldn't be surprised. I was surprised a MFG sponsored board would leave all the negativity up there and kept on going for I think it was up to 26 pages of mostly negativity or so.
