Darn Thief
I went out to my TV this morning and the contents of the center console were laying on my front seat. Some clown took my seven year old Garmin GPS. But they left the mounting bracket and power cord....

Agree - if your GPS gets stolen while camping or on vacation, the theif can turn it on and look for places to go that he knows your not at - like HOME.
That's true, but if you password protect it, it makes it that much harder for the thief to do this.. You should also have your cell phones pw protected too...
I've done this with my GPS and phone.. Sure, it's not a whole lot of security and you are still out the unit, but better than it just being left wide open for the thief to use!
