Darn Thief
I went out to my TV this morning and the contents of the center console were laying on my front seat. Some clown took my seven year old Garmin GPS. But they left the mounting bracket and power cord....

A thought in an RV (Motor home or trailer) you can get some "Trail Cameras" some of these are wi-fi enabled, motion senistive and easily hidden, at most "outdoor" stores (Bass Pro Shop for example).. Put one or two in places where they won't be easily seen or removed, covering the more attractive electronics in the ride.
Perhaps you can take a nice high res picture, print it, mat it, frame it and give it to the police.
True story: Man gets mugged, Calls it in "Can you provide a description" he says "Better yet, have an officer drop by in a couple hours"
The officer does drop in a few hours later. And is handed a portrait of the thief.
The victim is a professional portrait artist with a photographic memory, He specialises in pictures of folks who do not have the time to sit for a portrait, CEO's. Presidents, and the like.
He painted the picture from memory
The portrait now hangs in the Police chief's office
The subject of the protrait... in the nearby jail.
