Bought a dash cam for the rig. With the guy making a left turn a cross my bow and causing thousands of dollars in damage, I've been thinking. People cutting in front of me at highway speeds, merging t...

Boy, if you use that big bracket and attach that thing to your dash around here you are going to get a ticket. Nothing allowed on the dash or in your line of site at all. I've know people that got tickets for there sun glasses hanging from there rear view mirror. Now, if the screen was folded down and the camera was setting right in the middle of the glass flat on the dash board then it would be legal.
Part of the reason for the dash cam is to keep the cops honest. If they see that big thing on there they are not going to like you. It's like radar detectors. If they know you have one they are more likely to give you a speeding ticket. If they don't see one on your dash they might let you go 5 MPH if you look like a respectable older person.
It isn't on the dash, it is on the windshield and is above my line of sight. It is mostly between the rear view mirror and windshield with the camera slightly below the mirror. Almost invisible and certainly not very noticeable. Completely legal in Ohio.
I'm not concerned too much about speeding tickets, if I speed then I should be ticketed and fined.
Well they would need to see mine first, mine is 1-3/4" in diameter and about 3" long, it is placed right in front of the rear-view mirror. I don't see it at all.
I am not worried about a speeding ticket either, it is the idiot that cut me off or turns in front of me and then tries to lie their way out of it. I will attache pictures later.
