Dewinterizing

Has anyone in the northeast dewinterized yet who hasn't headed south? Possibly taking a trip in the next week or two and wanted to clear out the antifreeze and fill the fresh water tank, but am concerned about temps still falling into the 30's at night. Just curious what others have been doing.
  • our temps finally look like they will hold for some time. But it's always a risk before Mother's Day around Central PA. Still I dewinterized today. I will keep an eye on weather lows, and turn on furnace if there is danger. It certainly won't be for long, so with a little precaution should be ok, I'm figuring!
  • Temps falling into the 30's won't do any harm unless they fall to 32 or less. Even then, if daytime temps rise into the 40's+, you should be fine. What I do in iffy situations is set the furnace to lowest setting overnight If it's getting below 32.
