... I guess my comment and or question is this. It doesn't have to look pretty right? As long as it goes on and doesn't leak? I have used the stuff once before and it never fails. It always looks messy and never as good as the original sealant looked and it ends up all over my hands. Is there a secret to stopping it from oozing once it starts!?
You can make it look like OEM with a little bit of practice. A couple of thin lines of it then lightly smooth it out with the back of a plastic spoon will help the look and start the leveling process.
When you're done pulling on the trigger, release the pressure off the tube. This will stop the "oozing" you're getting. Also I take a milk jug and cut the top of it off leaving the handle. I use that to put the caulk gun into after I release the pressure off the tube and use the spoon to start to smooth out the caulk. Work in 2-3 foot sections. Keep an old towel handle to lay the spoon on, and wipe your hands if you get some on them.
You'll get the hang of it.
