Despite it being a sharp looking truck and it appears you found one hell of a deal, it shows us nothing.
The only reason a diesel powered truck has more value used than a gas powered truck with all things equal such as model year and condition is because it had more value to begin with. Not one exists that was not a $7K to 10K option from the beginning, and thats the only reason. There are 3 , well 4 types who buy a diesel.
1- A company purchased diesel where they require it for one reason or another.
2- Someone who needs it to pull a heavy RV or other trailer or load.
3- A self centered macho man.
4- Some younger punk who has to make a fashion statement which is directly tied to reason #3.
Here in PA they don't really make much economic sense unless you absolutely need it because of...............
You had better be driving it a ton of miles before you'll ever equal out here at roughly a $0.50 additional cost per gallon.
