diesel I95 Ga,FL

Going to need diesel along I95 in Ga or Fl.
Either state cheaper than the other or not worth thinking about?

Thanx!
  • You need to get the Gas Buddy app.
Georgia is generally cheaper than Florida.
South Carolina is way cheaper. I would try to top in SC., then the Flying J at Georgia I-95 at exit 2.
  • A quick look at something like the FJ website would have given you the answer.

BTW the WM on 535 (3256 Vineland Rd) at the Murphy station has diesel at a good price and it's where we keep topped off when visiting the mouse.

And your answer to RR's dumb statement is even better???

OP, get the gasbuddy app as this past summer it saved me over $200 on fuel. Pilot/FlyJ are the most expensive places to buy fuel and usually within several blocks gasbuddy will show a place 15 cents less than their cash price and you can use your credit card.

SC has the least amount of fuel tax and Fla has the most the further south you go in the state.

There is no exit 2 in GA on I95. There's a 1 and 3, but neither have a Flying J. The Flying J is exit 29 in Brunswick.

:B My Bad...I meant to say I-75. Just before you enter Florida.

Not universally true ... Go to Gus Buddy and type in "Brunswick, Ga" and the FJ ($3.38) is the cheapest for diesel by at least $.01 out of the 20 stations listed. Sometimes FJ is the best and other times it isn't, but if you're towing one has to also consider access along with price.

OK, I put in Brunswick and Love beats FlyJ by one cent...but the Sam's Club in Savannah is $3.05 and I'm a member but if not there is $3.15 close by.
    Closer to Jax several $3.29.
Other than in Canada this summer I have not used a FlyJ/Pilot in five years as I can always beat their price by 10+ cents and in this case Sams beats them by $0.33 times 100+ gallons.:B
Greenville/Spartanburg is where I usually buy fuel in SC as it's always the cheapest, but $3.04 is the best I find in that area with several under $3.10.
  • You might want to get the Murphy app, or visit their website.

There are lots of Murphys in Florida (and the South in general) and they usually have about the cheapest fuel that the general public can buy.
