I echo pump the rear tires on the truck to the maximum cold pressure embossed on the sidewall of the tire (probably 50 PSI). Then take it for a tow and see what happens. From what you are describing it seems the trailer is trying to push the truck around. You can always lower the pressure back to 35 when you are not towing.
