Part your problem is thinking your trailer is 24'. Model numbers almost NEVER are actual length. Your trailer is actually 28' long.
What's the payload capacity from the Tire and Loading sticker on the driver's door? It'll say something like "Occupants and cargo should not exceed xxxxlbs".
Yes, I know it’s 28, but still it’s not a large camper. 1439 lbs, gvwr is 7,000. Truck weight with me, 36 gallons of gas is 5960 lbs.
If payload capacity is only 1439lbs, that is part of your problem. Subtracting 1160 from 1439, gives you only 279lbs of available payload. Subtract 100lbs for the WDH, now leaves you only 179lbs for driver, passengers and cargo in the truck.
