Good point never thought about height. Trees will be trees - wbwoodExplorerI would be concerned about heigth. I believe more Class A's are taller than most Class C's. That may make a difference as well.

We take our 40' MH on gravel roads but we pre-drive them in our Jeep first to make sure they won't turn into Jeepin' roads!
We like the thought of the 40' on the gravel for sure. We do the same with our truck make sure we can get in and out. - BobandShazExplorer

If you want a "C" with off-road capability (note, this is something that won't allow you to do gnarly parts of Moab, but more of not getting stuck), Phoenix Cruiser offers all their "C"s with the option of a Quigley 4x4 conversion. They will ride a bit stiffer, but it might be just the option.
If worried about getting stuck, you can always see about a decent heavy duty wench to bring along.
Jayco has a Melbourne C that is 4x4 also but we still want the bigger size 30-35 - traveylinExplorerI drove a 26 foot class c up the haul road to prudhoe bay and across many dirt roads in the west. Dang near got stuck on a gps directed logging road on Vancouver Island.. Issues were gravel dings to the windsheild, cabin wiring that vibrated across metal edges causing grounds and at one high desert managed to vaporize the crankcase oil.
My new class A will not go on extensive gravel/dirt roads. I have a 2012 canyon 4x4 for exploring

- rv2goExplorer III have a friend that has an 34' gas Allegro Bay and by the looks of it, it has great ground clearance. Lots more clearance than in the C in you Sig. Picture.
