Your friend's attorney should have requested a CD of all the medical records that the Social Security office has obtained regarding his disability. Your friend could also request a copy of this to review to see if there is anything missing. Depending on the judge conducting the hearing, your friend should be asked questions regarding his past work, his medical condition and what his daily activities use to be and what they are now. Sometimes, the judge will call in a Vocational specialist to discuss the possibility of other jobs your friend may be capable of working in. Sometimes the judge will call in a doctor to answer the judge's questions that might arise on the medical condition of the person filing for disability.
