I believe that there is a discount for campers over 65. You can claim only one discount. The reason for the discount, per employee, is that they feel that people who are over 65, retired, are on a fixed income.

Here is the current information form the Florida Website:
A 50 percent discount on base campsite fees is available to Florida citizens who are 65 years of age or older or Florida citizens who are 100 percent disabled. Documentation will be requested on arrival.
You must be a "citizen" (resident) of Florida to qualify. They do check.
