disconnect, hide electrical cord when overnite at Walmart?

I occasionally overnight at rest areas, truck stops and Walmarts. I have a toad behind my motorhome and of course there is an electrical cord connecting the two. Who disconnects the cord and stows it ...

The cord itself is not worth anything to anyone but me. But, costly to replace. Maybe I have let the horror stories of kids messing with tow bar pins and stuff just "because" get to me :(
Will try and lighten up in the future :)
