disconnect, hide electrical cord when overnite at Walmart?

I occasionally overnight at rest areas, truck stops and Walmarts. I have a toad behind my motorhome and of course there is an electrical cord connecting the two. Who disconnects the cord and stows it ...

I remove the jumper...then connect and check everything in the AM before we start on our way. This in not being paranoid, but a safety check for the next day. Not scared about the loss...but the opportunity to steal something is on someones mind everyday. Just as the super-rich shoplift... Why?...because of the adventure.
