Discount RV experience?

I've been receiving e-mails recently touting a certain membership in an organization that can get me half price camping fee. I'm a Good-Sam, KOA member. I like KOA facilities but sometimes the rates are a little high. Has anyone had experience with this new membership and are the half priced rates accepted at KOAs?

I have never heard of a KOA accepting any deep discount program such as Passport America. They usually don't offer Good Sam or Escapees discounts either.

There is like one or two somewhere in the country which has such a discount, but for KOA - their discount is about as good as it gets.
  • KOA...to rich for my blood never heard of them giving more then about a 5% discount.
Too many federal CG's out there we get half of camping + 5 to 7 bucks on average for elec if you want it. ACOE cg's are 1/2 including elec.

The above is provided one is eligible for the inter agency pass or Golden Age.

Oh Dear, these people are still around? SCAM!!!
  • A quick google indicates Great RV Escapes is a ripoff since at least 2012.
  • A little clarity would shine some light on the issue. (Pun intended).

If you're talking about Passport America, it's a great deal!

yep, join this one but before you do, check the web site for locations and restrictions to be sure you can take advantage. I found if I stayed two nights during the year it paid for itself.
