When it's zero degrees or colder in Indiana, a 1500 watt electric heater won't even begin to keep the camper warm. When we use the camper (drive way camps) in those temperatures, we run the furnace full throttle and 2 electric heaters, 1500 watt. I have to run an extra independent extension cord from the garage for the second heater. Even with all this, the camper is just barley tolerable.
When the temps are in the low 40's to 50's... a single space heater works very nice. No need for propane.
