Dropped my CW and GS membership

I have been receiving the junk mail for about 12 years now. Not that big of a deal for me. I hate the credit card offers much more. I have to shred those offers.
I had presidents club and good sam when they were separate. The savings outweighed the costs for me. Last month I bought the lifetime Good Sam membership. Based upon my camping, I should see the return on my investment in 4 or 5 years. The CW discounts, Motorhome mag, other benefits, and campground discounts for the next 20 years made this a good investment for me.

we are members and I don't get much junk mail. few here and there. nothing to get my tail feathers in a tizzy about.

What I find funny, and ironic, is that most of the people posting on this thread who say they are ex-members still proudly display the "Good Sam RV Club Member" link and avatar beneath their screen name. They're here complaining about Good Sam's advertising, but they, themselves, are advertising for Good Sam right here.

I don't receive any junk mail from them. I went to the website and requested no junk mail.....haven't had any in over 5 years.

So called junk mail provides jobs for those in printing. AND paper is a renewable resource.

But I'm paying the monthly bill to get rid of the garbage. Can't burn it because that is a village violation. Can't dump it on the side of the road cause we have a county sheriff's garbage deputy who goes through that road side garbage looking for names and address, and when he finds one, it is a very large fine to pay.

We recycle junk mail. In fact our recycle program accepts paper, glass,metal,flatboard,cardboard,styrofoam and most plastics. About the only garbage is kitchen waste. as we have traveled the last 3 winters we have been surprised at how many places have no recycling programs.

Perhaps it would be worth pressuring your local politicians to do something worthwhile and start a recycling program.

Am I the only weirdo who likes getting any type of mail? Ever since I was a kid. I love it!

Besides the occasional flyer, we hardly receive anything. Well except for insurance thing about maybe once a month or every other month.

We have been life members for many, many years. Only thing we ever get is via email which are Camping World flyers and coupons. Never get anyting via USPS.
We have also been Motorhome magazine subscribers for that many years.
I feel bad that so many people have problems at Camping World across the US.
In 20 plus years of purchases, returns, calling with questions, etc, we have never received anything but fantastic service.
Also, the Flying J card with .08 c off diesel is awesome.

Been a member of GS and CW (President's Club at the time) for many years, now life time GS member and I only get an occasional mail offer from them. What help the most for me was opting out of offers thru their web site.
