Many people want a gen capable of running air, but in my 15 years of dry camping I see very few actually doing that. Lugging them around and constant refueling gets to be a hassle most shy away from. They just endure the heat or go somewhere cooler or an RV park.
Inverters are nice, not running a generator at night to watch TV is very handy, but, you need a way to charge your batteries. As said, please don't buy that loud Champion for campground use.
