mrekim may be able to clear this up quick, can you spin the upper nut when it is agasint the yoke?
With both, you need to push the can arm in a little bit to spin the inside nut.
H'mm, OK do you mean to adjust the length of the arm,
To make an adjustment:
- Pre-figure out how much and which direction you want to adjust the cam arm. 1/16, 1/8" etc.
- Take all weight off the cam arm
- Loosen the bottom locking nut approx 1/4" to 3/8" to allow room to push the cam arm up.
- Push the cam arm "up" towards the TT frame. This unlocks the upper nut from the cast yoke holding the nut from spinning.
- Then spin the upper nut to the desired new position and pull the cam arm back down to lock in the nut from rotating.
- Then tighten up the lower locking nut.
The above assumes there is a cast in spot (shape) for the upper nut to not rotate until you lift the nut high enough to allow it to spin. Is this correct?
Thanks
