Actually it hasn't collected any trucks or campers for quite a while. Perhaps people are finally realizing the 8 feet isn't very high!
Here's hoping you someday reach Branford, CT. Somewhere near Indian Neck Avenue is a railroad/highway bridge with a clearance of about 6 feet before they decided to excavate the road downward to up the clearance. Maybe they weren't thinking about how prone the area was to flooding at the time:S.
On the bright side a ring side seat at 'The Lobster Shack' off the banks of the..Stony Creek will provide you with views of the bridge underpass and good eats.
