There is a mall parking garage that we have gone to a few times. It has a height limit BUT before you get to the entrance there is a sign with the limit hanging from a long chain at each end of the sign. The bottom of the sign is about 2 inches lower than the garage clearance. If you hit the sign you don't go in the garage but the sign just swings on that 5 foot of chain. MUCH less expensive than a $130,000 laser system and isn't subject to power failures.
