Blue Ray normally needs HDMI connection to TV's. DVD can go A/V. (3 wire yellow red white coaxial cables)
I'd go Blue Ray myself.. however getting it to a remote tv is a lot of cable pulling with HDMI wire.. Not that I can't do that.
