DVD player, speaker issues

Buyer beware I guess on some of these issues. Got home to discover that the built in DVD player won't load discs. Just keeps looping back to "loading". Any suggestions?

And, the main room speaker (also built in) does work. The outdoor and back room ones work fine, but not the main one. Suggestions on that?

The camper is only a 2015 so it seems odd to have these pop up.

Thanks!

  • Long story short on this one....the seller is going to replace the DVD system.
  • First thing I did on our trailer was solder all of the speaker connections! Now they all work, all the time and sound good with no static. Eliminated the wire nuts behind the unit and the slip on tabs at each speaker.
  • When we got our new trailer it would not accept any type of disc in the stereo/DVD player. We went back to the dealer with it and they found that the shipping "locking screws" had not been removed. The stereo played fine during PDI, but we never thought to check the disc player.
  • You system might be setup for speaker C but your rig might not!

Don't know if it will help but have your TV set to DVD or AV or HDMI or what ever your system requires. If DVD still does not play it may just be defective...
  • It would help if you posted either year/make/model of RV or the brand and model number of your dvd system.

DVD player might be a dirty lens. It might also just be a dead player for some reason; the mechanism is likely very similar to that of a $20 DVD player from a big box store, and hooking a cheap one in to the system if possible might be the most cost-effective and and least difficult way of resolving the problem.

Speakers might be control settings (check the fader and the balance controls, and any switches you have for sets of speakers), or a loose wire going to the speakers, or a failure in the amplifier, or probably a few other things.

You're dead on for the speaker! Just found the balance setting. Wasn't easy without a remote but I got that figured out.
Now, any idea why there'd be a speaker C listed with no others to be accounted for? A is outside B is living room and bunk room. No missing speakers to be C.
