East Coast Gas Shortage

Just like the '70s, anything to use for an excuse, factual or not. :M

I paid $2.39 for regular this AM, however in some parts of Atlanta it went to over $4.00. What a rip off.

The Sunday morning TV news in metro Atlanta showed several QT stations closed due to tight supply. As of yesterday a non-scientific sample showed prices up 30 to 50 cents. I bet it will be more this morning.

With them not pumping into that pipeline for a week you'd think it would cause a glut at the storage facility and prices elsewhere would go even lower.

Gas Buddy is currently showing the average gas price in Nashville as $2.24, with lows running about $1.95. That doesn't look like much price gauging to me, although I'm not surprised a few idiots would try to take advantage of the situation.

Nobody is saying anything about the reputed 250,000 gallons spilled, or where it went.
