Not sure that's what he meant but it does happen. Yes, our driving attitude is horrendous. Won't deny it. However, I've encountered similar "etiquette" in Phoenix, Denver, and yes, even Rapid City. A lot of it stems from the way we are raised-rush, rush, rush. Mostly it's just overcrowding and impatience. I just ignore it.
Overcrowding is my theory too. I'm sure all the snowbirding doesn't help that scenerio either, but don't take it out on people using a 3,000+ pound weapon... just move to somewhere it isn't frustrating like I plan on doing.
We spent 3 months in the northern part of los angeles, 1 month in Phoenix, and 3 months in Denver during the last year... we had a grand total of 1 rude person in all those places. I doubt we were just "lucky".
