I think a driver's license should cost ten grand. Also, loose your driving privledge for two traffic infractions in a year. Then, it cost 20 grand to get it back. Uninsured motorists should be exiled. Execution for a second DUI.
Driving in the D.C. metro area, I find myself saying, "Let it go. Breath in. Breath out." A LOT! I hate to think that everywhere else is headed in the same direction. I think traffic is probably 40% of my total stress load. Sometimes, I sit behind the wheel or on my motorcycle dreaming of a drivers' heaven where traffic flows, nobody gets cut off, cell phones weren't invented yet and everybody always uses their turn signals. It helps pass the time sitting in traffic.
"Ouhhh. Look at the birds! Aren't they pretty. Breath in. Breath out. It'd sure be nice to be able to fly. Breath in. Breath out."
