Electric Trailer Brake Question
I am new to RVs and recently took possession of a new Montana 3790RD fifth wheel RV. The 3790RD is rated at 13K pounds dry and the CAT scales gave me a trailer axle weight of just under 11,000 pounds....

Update
I did an AB test today on the RV's brakes. I used my 2013 RAM 1500 which has the integrated factory brake controller and measured just over 12 volts on the electric brake line to the RV. Switched vehicles to my tow vehicle (2015 RAM 3500) which is also equipped with the factory ITBC and only measure 7.8 volts. Now I know the reason I am not getting full brake effort and why moving the ITBC gain past 7.5 doesn't do anything.
For both vehicle tests I set the gain to 10 which is the maximum setting. I also measure about 250 Hz on the DC voltage which is about right since these are pulse width modulated. Time to get TV in to the dealer. Thanks everybody.
