It swung under the overhang when they tried it. So unless you have a strong grip and sense of mind,you can end up with your leg in between the rungs and your body upside down or flat on your back.
X2- This was a VERY informative post- the time it took to get out was ANYTHING BUT QUICK.
I believe that the best technique is to dive out the window head first and hope that you only have strains, scrapes and bruises.
