I have kept a fire extinguisher in every vehicle I have owned for the past 30 plus years. In addition to the extinguisher that came with the RV I also have a disposable in the front and back. It may not put out a fire but it could buy me some time.
You try to fight a fire any more serious than a skillet on the stove and you will be dead. The rescue personnel will recover your body from the charred remains of your RV. You will be overcome by smoke in less than a minute. Do you realize that most fire victims die of smoke inhalation, not the fire itself?
