Emptying black tank after every outing?

I empty mine after each use; whether we've used it for one night or one week. I just flush the tanks and forget about them. :C

Depends upon how big your tank is. For us, regardless of how much it's been used, we always dump before returning home. I want my camper clean, ready for the next use. You never know what may happen in the future that may prevent you from cleaning it out. So when camping, I always dump once a day anyway. If not on full hook-ups, I use my Blue Tote. My current camper has only a 25 gallon black tank.

It doesn't matter. Do whatever makes you comfortable.

Continue doing what you are doing. Due to a personal accident our camper didn't get used for 9 months. Luckily we do what you do all the time.

I dump and flush whenever I am going to store it. No chemicals, lots of water, no stink.

I camp a minimum of 3 days at a time and I dump after each trip and add some water to the tank.

Why on earth would you want to "store" what is in your tanks? :h IMHO: Add a little water and get rid of it leaving nothing but clean rinse water and/or tank treatment behind.

Try every other trip. I think you will not miss the process of dumping now and then.

We do lots of weekend trips. I used to dump after each trip, but I don't anymore. For the last several years I have dumped every other or every third weekend. Even doing so when it is 90* + temps, have never had any issue or smell.

The trick is be sure you have plenty of liquid in the black tank. When it gets half full I dump. Never saw a correct indicator gauge yet.
