Ever been totally rained out?

We took the motorhome to Waterton Lakes National Park in southern Alberta last Monday. Beautiful place, but we hit some serious rain. Waterton had 232 millimeters (9.1 inches) in three days. We discovered a leak around the bedroom window that caused us some grief.
The Waterton Lake level was rising, flooding some shoreline picnic areas. We were becoming concerned about the rising river levels, as we had to cross a small bridge to exit our campsite. Decided to call it quits after the third day of continous heavy rain. I can honestly say that I've never experienced rain like that. The campground actually offered us a refund on the unused days that we had prepaid.
When it quits raining, Waterton Lakes National Park is a fantastic, beautiful place. If you ever have the chance, check it out. Keep dry!
