I've been to London many times and it's a beautiful place to see.
RMB (above), I respect your opinion and view but I don't agree that 'everybody' doesn't like us. In fact, it's completely the opposite. What you hear on the news and see on TV is very microscopic.
I took a 'around-the-world' trip (30 days) in 1996 by private jet. We started in Los Angeles and ended in New York City. We stopped in Fiji, Australia, Burma, India, Dubai, Chez Republic, Morocco and all surrounding areas in these countries.
On other trips, I've been to Scotland, Ireland, Italy, France, Spain, Turkey, Germany, Greece, Russia, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Hungry, Romania, Croatia, Netherlands, all through the Caribbean, Canada, Mexico, etc. (I'm sure I've forgotten one or two).
My experience has been that most people want EXACTLY the same things that we do, PEACE, raise a good family, have a good job, etc. Everyone that I personally had interaction with over 30 yrs. of traveling were so nice and friendly.
I think (if you are serious) you are really short-changing yourself of a true worldly experience by not meeting people different than us. But, you certainly have that right. Surely, there are rough area's in the world but those are just a few grains of sand in the whole picture.
Safe travels,
MM.
