We're considering volunteering at the Everglades National Park. Does anyone have any experience, positive or negative at this park?

We volunteered at Hidden Lake Environmental Camp in Everglades in winter 2012-2013. Are you looking at Shark Valley - check on where the RV pads are? Comments on escapees forum mention those.
The volunteer village near Royal Pine/ Coe Visitor Center was great with about 12 sites and housing around. Friday night TGIF get together in the Chickee (screened recreation building with picnic tables).
