EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE

It seems that it is more common for people to use forums when they have had a bad experience. Well I would like to share my most recent experience with RV Wholesalers and Forest River. We purchase a Wildcat 313RE in October of 2011. This past July I noticed the side wall was starting to delaminate. I emailed some photos to RVW and they responded quickly. Within a matter of days a representative from Forest River had contacted me. Even though our camper was 7 months beyond the warranty period they agreed to repair it for us. Forest River set up a date and had a transport company pick up our camper and deliver to the factory. After the repair was complete the camper was returned to us.
In a time were it seems as customer service has been replaced by automation I would like to commend RV Wholesalers and Forest River for understanding and exercising excellent customer service.

MANY THANKS TO THE STAFF AND OWNERSHIP OF RV WHOLESALERS AND FOREST RIVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • All that matters is RVW and FR both stood up tall and proud and did the right thing, and I couldn’t be happier for the OP, he would have had a different tail to tell if he were billed for an exterior wall replacement…

Like I said I think he got good service, the kind you should expect, especially with a major and costly repair on a mfg. defect, even after the warranty…

These things do happen, just not often enough…

Alpha Systems paid (except the6% sales tax) for a complete new roof on a three year old Terry Resort (because of cracking rubber) including all new wood, and I wasn’t even the original owner… how/why??? Not by ranting and raving, but selling them on the idea that their product was better than that… they will never say no it isn’t… but that was a long time ago and these are different times…

Likewise I expect a low price form a wholesaler without a lot of tire kicking, that’s their business model…
But I would like to know how these big savings are really figured… in three attempts they never beat the local dealer I was using by $4000… … I won’t say it don’t or couldn’t happen because the wholesaler was near $4000 cheaper when I called about a trailer for the DD but that wasn’t the real cost difference after delivery and state taxes…
Then to, my local dealer beat out two other local dealers by $3000 cash plus a upgraded hitch , so I guess it’s possible if you’re dealing with a not so great local dealer that you could get those savings…
mine was a factory order, so the comparisons were not only apples to apples but the same grade of apples, and buying local is still paying dividends for me every time I need something…

As for another well-known wholesaler I will never buy and pay in full, and sign a contract sight unseen on a purchase that large… that is a deal breaker for me before the start before the price is figured no matter what others think of them or their service….

And we don't see enough of them on this site, or any other sites for that matter. I'm guilty as well. I'm quick to warn about a dump, and that's a good thing, but I don't tend to mention a place that meets or exceeds my expectations.
We rarely see a review like, "The sites were big and level, the utilities all worked and the folks in the office were friendly, helpful and a great source of things to see, places to shop, and directions."

  • I have had a fun finder and a flagstaff and both companies have given excellent service when there was a problem....also our local camping world .... which handled warranty work and gives great discounts and service.....also the dealer we purchased our unit from....great service.....so far never a bad experience.

Score 1 for RV Wholesalers and Forest River!

(DW and I really liked the 313RE would have one now if we could have got the right deal)

RVW beat our local dealer as well as dealers at a couple of shows we went to bu at least $4000!

  • That is always good to hear and I wish we heard more of it…

The thing is, that to me is what I would expect out of a service department… and is also why you seldom hear about it…yes out of warranty but that shouldn’t be an issue for much longer than the warranty period and because of what it takes to make the repair it should carry its own separate warranty…

The real problem is it doesn’t work that way all too often, but I am glad it did for you… sometimes I think it’s the way the owner presents the problem more than the problem itself… if so maybe you deserve a little of that praise also… I think maybe that is so because of the way you presented your post here…
  • That is great to hear. I have the same 5er. I will keep an eye on the sides.
