When your homeowners' insurance or car insurance expires, do you ask the insurance company to continue covering you....even though the policy expiration date has passed?
We're talking warranty not insurance coverage. My home has a 10 year warranty and my vehicle had a 3 year plus, depending on the components.
It is a known fact that the quality control in the RV industry is spotty-at-best. Many issues can take some time to evolve, such as water or electric related problems. Many people do not spend every waking moment monitoring the condition of their RV, nor should they have to. The RV industry knows this and they capitalize on it.
I absolutely think that in some instances a manufacture should be held accountable beyond the 12 month period of warranty.
