  • Sad to hear of you dilemma. Hope you can resolve it to your satisfaction.

If you bought this warranty through a dealer he kept more than half of your $5275.00. Extended warranties are extremely high profit for a retail dealer.

These warranties cost the dealer so little that they will throw them in for free to seal a deal.

If the warranty was purchased thru a dealer it might help to complain to them as they get a share of every plan sold.
And your friend has joined many, like me, who have learned a hard lesson about bad warranty companies.
  • Like all "insurance" companies, extended warranty firms love the money coming in and scoff at sending it out. I know some people have benefited from extended warranties, but I suspect that on average the extended warranty firm wins. Else they would not exist.

I bought my coach 8 years ago when it was just a year old and have never wished I had an extended warranty. Sorry for your bad experience.
  • A very expensive lesson. Thanks for sharing. These kind of scammers need to be put out of business.
  • Thanks for your report. How very annoying. Don't let it tear you, or your friend, up. It's only money. Easy for me to say, right?
