Extended warranty

Far better to take the money they charge for the extended warranty and put it in the bank or invest it somewhere that it remains accessible. If you need a repair the money is there if you don't you are way ahead. This way you can have anything fixed anywhere you want whenever you want. No asking for permission and hassling over how much they will pay
