My wife and kids have made t-shirts with fabric paint many times. Not the type you are using though. They use stuff that comes in a small bottle and they basically write on the shirt.
We have shirts that are well over 5 years old that still look good. The paint is permanent. They get washed and dried like all other clothing without issue.
