Some transporters you can spot right away without any problem - usually they've got some sort of combination of RVs they're hauling at the same time. It may be two pop-ups stack on a flat bed truck pulling a TT or a TC on a flatbed with a TT or a MH with a TT behind it. Yes, a few private individuals may pull a set-up like one of these, but you can tell when the RVs are brand new - stickers I the windows, no license plates, etc.
