Then just take the piece you cut and glue it back in. You will never see the cut if you do it carefully

This. I have done this in my house and if done carefully it is invisible to everyone but you ('cause you know it is there). However, I agree with those who say that a 4 inch depression in a TT is very serious and not remedied by a levelling or bondo product.
I think you need to remove the under-trailer panel and replace and brace the area damaged from below.
Oh yeah, and take that son of yours in for an x-ray/concussion examination.
