it depends on what material they are made of. I bought some cheapies and have to warn anybody sitting in them to not twist around as the legs twisted like spaghetti. others are more substantial.

Well some of the people we camp with are very large. Most of the time we cook and eat outside and it's not a problem. We use fold out tables and fold out chairs. Everyone is comfy. We dont usually have to worrie about bugs, but skunks are another issue. I was just pointing out that some of the dinettes that we looked at were a tight squeeze. There are some great ideas here and that was the reason the post was made. Seems like PAGES of people can relate.

Size may or may not be medical or carelessness, but in all cases it is a situation that often requires special consideration for the comfort and relaxation of all.

It's not mthat easy indoors, but not that hard to work out otherwise.

I have a very large friend that uses the lift top coffee table I linked earlier… he just doesn’t fit comfortably at the table and even though its free standing and if he sits there no one else can because of the lack of room…

At 15 I was 6 foot, 200 lbs and growing, I knew then that life wasn't going to be as comfortable for me as it was for smaller people. Rv's are no different than anything else. I can use ours but sometime just barely and not for long.

I think the only way I could full time is with a toy hauler fitted with larger comfortable furniture, a larger bathroom with a stall, a free standing table and chairs and a nice king sized bed. Otherwise after a few weeks I look forward to getting home.

Note I've fought "heaviness" all my life. I weighed more in 8th grade than I do today at 56 years old. I don't exersize, and I drink more than I should, but I stay active, watch what I eat, and walk my dogs 2 miles every morning.

Not getting down on anyone, but if you burn more calories than you eat, and you exercise even just a (note it took me 2 years to go from 220 to 185, and I've held there for 3 years... ) little, after a few years you will get down to a manageable size.

But do you use the dinette, or have different seating arrangements?

Note I've fought "heaviness" all my life. I weighed more in 8th grade than I do today at 56 years old. I don't exersize, and I drink more than I should, but I stay active, watch what I eat, and walk my dogs 2 miles every morning.

Not getting down on anyone, but if you burn more calories than you eat, and you exercise even just a (note it took me 2 years to go from 220 to 185, and I've held there for 3 years... ) little, after a few years you will get down to a manageable size.

I left 2 chairs at home, added 1/2 booth to one side and table slides into booth. Great set-up for 2 of us and if more show up, we bring out folding chairs. I don't know why no one thinks about a half booth setup. Simple and adds storage as well.
